The 2011 Charity Valentines Ball promises to be THE BEST YET!!!. The previous events sponsored by Motiva Group were a huge success, they succeeded in creating lots of interest locally and from companies elsewhere in the UK. We had coverage from local newspapers, local radio, features appeared in Staffordshire Life, Staffordshire Magazine and the events also gained support from some of our local celebrities and football Clubs.
We have already raised over £40,000 for research into Motor Neurone Disease. MND is a devastating rapidly progressive fatal disease with currently no treatment or cure. It attacks the motor neurones that send messages from the brain to the muscles, leaving people unable to walk, talk or feed themselves. The brain is often unaffected and sufferers remain alert and focused throughout their ordeal.
It was after one of their employees (William Hughes) died of MND that Motiva Group decided to try and help this worthy cause and it is down to their support and commitment that these events have been such a huge success.
